Like all the other second year students studying for a business related degree, I started filling in application forms for summer internships. It is a longand boring( for me ) process, but I hope it will have a good outcome.
I applied to some consultancy firms and also to some banks. I also did some numerical , logical and verbal reasoning tests in order to prove my skills. Now I am waiting for the results and I am quite excited for the outcome.
The applications take a long time to complete if you want to get them right. Apart from the typical cover letter and the CV, you might be asked questions like:
-
tell me about a situation when you had to deal with stress
-
tell me about a situation in which you worked in a team
-
tell me what positionsof responsability you held
-
tell me what attracted to the programme
-
tell mewhat differenciates us from our compettitors
and so on. Pretty basic questions, but i do find them a bit difficult because I always avoid taking about myself.
Have you had to go though a procces like this? How did it go? What was the outcome? I am going to start a discussion board on this topic, as I would like to hear your thoughts.
And I will keep you posted with the answers I get back!
